All too often we have young people in our community struggle to achieve their dreams of furthering their education. Helping Young People Excel values our youth and strives to give them the needed support in achieving their dreams. Providing a laptop for their first year in college is our contribution in showing them that we value their determination and drive and fully support their academic efforts.
"It is my hearts desire to reach as many deserving high school graduates as possible.” “With the help of our area churches, I believe we will succeed." `Ruthie Wilburn
Helping Young People Excel (HYPE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has partnered with churches in the Arlington, Rosemark, Millington and Munford areas as a Community Outreach Scholarship Program. Each church that joins with H.Y.P.E. can have one high school graduate receive a new laptop (one laptop per church).
It was such an honor to have Kelvin Mack Edwards the former NFL wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys as our guest of honor. His message was truly inspiring and encouraging to our young people.
HYPE's collaboration with Rev. Cary Vaughn and the HARE committee allows HYPE more visibility and outreach to achieve its mission to bring community awareness regarding the importance of giving back and supporting our youth.
2019 was a busy year for HYPE. On June 6th, we were a part of the Bobby Blue Bland Day as a food vendor, on September 29th, at the Rosemark Fair, HYPE was on hand as a food vendor. And, we also have a newly elected Commissioner Amber Mills.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and make a difference in the lives of the youth in our community.
